"1. This film gave an interesting perspective on the power of love and the human condition. I enjoyed the way the same ripping love scene was played out in different time periods. The unique way the same scene of love being torn apart flipped back and forth in time. The pacing of the scenes moves quickly and is quite to the point which rivets the audience. I became absorbed in the fragmented segments. Mimicking the building of tension as the segments bounce in time is masterful. I wouldn't mind seeing the plot of this film build and become more involved as a longer feature.
2. Unending Love is a charming story that certainly fits the title. The couple that plays multiple roles are both quite good showing their love. In particular the young lady is emotional in all three parts, each slightly different than the other. I am uncertain about this but I was struck by the camera the man had in the 1940's. It seemed to be a much more modern device. I think that the story was simple yet appealing. The audience is left to decide if the three stories are entirely separate or somehow melded together. I choose the latter. Is it incarnation and these two are the "same" people and therefore soulmates? If that is the case then they appear to be doomed to an eternity of broken romances. The script wisely leaves a great deal to the imagination in this effective yet all too short film. The cinematographer is able to show each story without getting in the way. The close-ups of the man chained inside the barn shows his predicament well and highlights his unending love.
3. Unending Love is a bitter sweet drama which is very interesting to watch from the beginning till the end. It illustrates persuasively that the concept of eternal love and finding one’s ideal partner continues to be appealing to many. I found it a great addition to represent 3 various eras making the idea of unending love more poignant and powerful – if one cannot meet his better half in the present life there is always a hope for that in the next life. I found the choice of actors good - for the most part, their performance was convincing; however, sometimes they seemed to struggle to keep their emotions in line with words and the situation portrayed. One example would be the scene when the couple is about to be captured by the Nazi. Captivating and colorful scenery, make-up and clothing play a part in the overall favorable impression of the movie."
